Alan Merovitz as a Bell Canada worker

We began producing videos in 1986 with a video version of the Filipino Canadian [later Carlos Bulosan] Cultural Workshop’s inaugural stage production, Carding. Later videos moved out from drama to documentary. Re:Connecting about the 1988 Bell Canada strike mixed dramatized segments and actuality. For an article about this project by D’Arcy Martin, please visit our Articles section.

For social justice groups we produced videos on topics such as housing [Homeless People] and support for the unemployed [Northumberland Voices]. For unions, we produced campaign videos on events ranging from the Days of Protest [London Calling!, Resistance in Concert] to the OPSEU 1996 strike [No Justice! No Peace!]. We also produced educational video for a number of major national unions including the Canadian Labour Congress and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers.

We have won a number of Awards for this work, including two form the Canadian Association of Labour Media [CALM].
